I use Outlook Express. When I send a 'blind copy' (Bcc) of an email message, I can't find out later to whom I have sent it. When I send an ordinary copy (cc), the computer keeps a record of this and reveals it when I look at old messages. How do I get my computer to reveal to whom I sent blind copies?
The whole point of sending blind carbon copies (Bcc) of emails is that the other recipients should not be able to find out who received the Bcc. Therefore, the Bcc address doesn't appear in the message. However, Outlook Express does keep the Bcc address in the locally held copy of the message - the one that finishes up in the Sent Items folder. What it doesn't do is display this address in the message viewer. To see the stored Bcc address you need to examine the message headers. To do this, right-click a message in the list of messages, select Properties, then select the Details tab.
